Scare Away Hunger with Y Club
Oct 18, 2016
Service is one of our cherished Benedictine values, and the newly-formed Y Club is hard at work showing their commitment to service with their Scare Away Hunger campaign. Y Club students in grades 5-8 are working together to collect non-perishable food items for Go Pantry, an organization that creates weekend food bags for children in need in Boone County.
The Y Club members log and sort all the donations coming into the cafeteria. Villa elementary students who make a donation to Go Pantry will be allowed to wear orange and black accessories to school on Halloween.
Donations are being accepted until October 28th. Thanks for supporting this Y Club service learning project and thanks for scaring away hunger in Boone County.
