Villa Madonna Academy students from kindergarten through high school have earned some pretty impressive awards this past week. We'd like to recognize some of those accomplishments.

We celebrate our kindergarten and first grade chess team (pictured above). They placed second in Kentucky's state chess tournament and are now heading to the national tournment in Nashville in May!

Congratulations to junior high student Grant Forster, a National Geographic Kentucky State Bee Semifinalist, and seventh grader Emily Richardson who represented Villa at the WCPO Regional Spelling Bee.

Fifth grade student Liam Collins placed 5th in Arts & Humanities in the Regional Governor's Cup.

Corrina Borchers - one of our junior high students - was accepted into University of Cincinnati's Engineering Summer Camp. This is a competitive program and quite an achievement.

Senior Mary Wurtz has been named the recipient of the 2016-2017 WKU Cherry Presidential Scholarship. This is Western Kentucky University's most prestigious academic award.

We congratulate these students for all their hard work. We thank their teachers and club moderators for their help and guidance, and we thank our Villa parents whose support makes it possible for these children to do great things!

We are #VillaProud.
