Miss a Week, Miss a Lot
Feb 12, 2016
What happened at Villa this week? Well, where do we start? We hosted a signing ceremony for one of our high school seniors who will play softball and soccer at Midway University. We welcomed Captain Meriwether Lewis to talk to our fourth grade students about his adventures mapping the Louisiana Purchase. We had hands on-learning as seventh grade students built DNA models. We learned about female leaders in STEM on International Women and Girls in Science Day. We celebrated Ash Wednesday and talked about the holy season of Lent. We shared cards with friends to celebrate Valentine's Day. If that weren't enough, the elementary school enjoyed a visit from the Cincinnati Zoo's Cat Ambassador program. (There's nothing quite like seeing cheetah walk across the gym.)
There is always something happening here as teachers and coaches look for new ways to challenge and engage their students as they follow their paths to become leaders in the community. We invite you to follow us on Facebook and Twitter to learn more about what is happening in the elementary and high schools every day. You can also watch our YouTube channel to take a closer look at all the things that make Villa special.
We are #VillaProud.
