The Benedictine spirit of service is alive and well in our community! We have been impressed with our students' generosity toward others. Cole and Reese baked cookies and wrote jokes for the families at Welcome House of Northern Kentucky. Other students have given their time, too. Fifth grader Connor B. made more than 150 Valentines for retirement home residents. Eighth grade student Caitlyn I. and her fourth grade brother Zachery made school packs for the United Way.

Senior Annabelle Sunday has racked up more than 200 service hours at St. Elizabeth Healthcare. During the pandemic, she's been busy assembling COVID-19 kits for the hospital. Annabelle earned the Prudential Spirit of Community President's Volunteer Service Award for her contributions.

These service projects are meaningful.  Did you know? One hour of service has a value of $27.20 according to Independentsector.org. That means Villa students' service hours this year are valued at more than $95,000.
