Hands On History Lessons
Dec 18, 2017
Fourth grade celebrated Pioneer Days and got some hands-on lessons about life in the past. They played with toys (like the top above) that pioneer children would have played with. They used a washboard and rack to wash and dry towels. They dipped candles and wrote with a quill. They even learned to sew.
We hope the students enjoyed the lessons as much as we did. Thanks to Mrs. Schleper for planning the day and to the parent volunteers who helped make it go smoothly.
