Global Service

Our K-6 global service project was a huge success! Students raised more than $1,700 in a Penny War to raise money for families in Sierra Leone who are recovering from a devastating flood and mudslides. Our Y Club hosted the coin contest in which each grade earned points for the coins left in their buckets and lost points for dollar bills left in their buckey. The event was such fun for the students as they came up with strategies and tried to outsmart other grades. Even young students like Diana J. (seen above) wanted to make sure she put her coins in the kindergarten bucket.

Thanks to all who donated and thank you to Mr. Tilley and our Y Club for coordinating the service project. Congratulations to our sixth grade class on winning the Penny War!
