It is time to get up and get moving! The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends 60 minutes of exercise daily, but how do you get your child to love exercise? Start by loving it yourself. Sometimes, that is easier said than done.
Exercising with your child can be as simple as shooting hoops in the backyard, playing at a park, or walking your dog together. It can be taking your child to a family yoga class. You can find different classes including some free ones listed here. There are also walking/fitness apps that allow you to create an online community so that you can encourage each other's fitness goals or start a family-friendly fitness competition.
