Kindergarten students are enjoying some engaging visitors as they learn all about Community Helpers. Firefighters, a doctor, a police officer, and even the Mayor of Villa Hills are sharing some of their experiences with the students. We thank all of those who have given their time to speak to the kindergarten class.

A visit from the Crescent Springs Villa Hills Firefighters reminded us of a story by children's television host, Mr. Rogers. He offered many lessons on kindness and friendship. He also offered one very poignant story about community helpers. Mr. Rogers said he would often see scary things on the news and his mother always told him, "Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping." he went on to say, "I remember my mother’s words, and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers — so many caring people in this world."

This story is worth remembering especially this week after the attack in Las Vegas. It's important for us all to remember to look for the helpers. Look for those who care.

May God bless our community helpers and the people of Las Vegas.
