Coding Is Cool

Third grade students had a unique math lesson in the Fab Lab as they found multiplication problems and solutions taped to the Fab Lab floor. The students had to program Dash robots to move from the problem to the answer. The lesson taught coding, math, and collaboration skills as students worked in teams to solve the problems and to determine Dash's moves across the floor. Practicing multiplication has never been more fun.

Our Fab Lab teacher, Mrs. Debbie Young, takes lessons learned in the classroom and expands on them using technology. Integrating technology into lesson plans is key to our commitment to develop 21st century learners.
