Cardboard Boat Regatta

Physics students took their lessons to new places as they rowed across the lake to study Archimedes' principle or the law of buoyancy. The AP Physics 2 students spent more than a week building boats out of cardboard and duct tape. They then launched them into the lake and raced around it.

Students from both schools along with parents and some of the Sisters of St. Walburg Monastery lined the lakeshore to cheer on the boaters. The first place boat was manned by Hanlei Wang and Todd Jiang. Dan Gerst and Cayce Cobaugh (above) won for the best boat name - Usain Boat.

It was a great day to celebrate as a community! We are #VillaProud
