After months of hard work, our first grade students are officially authors! They completed their first books for the annual Young Author's Day. The students learned about the components of a good story. They did a rough draft, drew colorful illustrations, and put their work into a hard back book that they and their parents will no doubt treasure for years to come.
Our first grade teachers Sally Zeck and Theresa Spaulding-Horn spent months helping the students develop skills that will serve them well throughout their academic careers and beyond. We thank them for their hard work.
We celebrate our young authors and hope that they continue to write throughout the summer.
