Welcome to Villa Madonna Academy High/Junior High!
The four years of high school are the four most important years in the life of a child, and the junior high years are times of great growth and maturity. Where better to have your children educated than in a Catholic high school/junior high with outstanding faculty, challenging curriculum, and a success rate unequalled?
In a school committed to providing the best possible education to our students, grades 7 and 8 are aligned with the high school. As a result, opportunities abound for our junior high students to take high school classes and yet still graduate with their peers.
In a school with a commitment to small class sizes, we continue to have a great percentage of our classes with National Merit Students, Governor's Scholars, and AP Scholars. Our ACT averages are higher than local, state and national averages, and our Class of 2017 earned an average of $250,000 in scholarship offers. One-third of the class was awarded full-tuition scholarships at his/her school of choice. This is a true testament to school and family working together.
Parents and students recognize that nowhere in the area is there a school such as Villa Madonna Academy. In addition to our excellent Catholic, Benedictine education, Villa students have so many opportunities here to participate in the activities they wish, to play on the teams they wish, to be challenged by our college-preparatory/honors curriculum, to serve others. Villa students are independent thinkers ready for the world, young men and women who know how to learn with each other and work with each other, who grow in their faith and spirituality.
If you are looking for one of the best schools in the country, you have discovered that Villa is a private, Catholic, co-ed school offering only a college-preparatory program in the high school. Villa is a twice- recognized National Blue Ribbon School with consecutive recognitions: There is no other high school in the Diocese or area to be so recognized. In addition, we earned recognition in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 by the Washington Post as one of America's Most Challenging High Schools. Our high school has earned accreditation by AdvancEd/SACS since 1925, and we continue to utilize stakeholder feedback to develop an organic curriculum.
Villa is excited to offer more Advanced Placement courses than most schools in the area, a co-ed student body dedicated to service and living the Benedictine values, and an award-winning faculty. Let your young adult experience Villa's technology program where productivity devices enhance student learning and STEM courses set the course for college study. Entrust your child's education to a school where the focus is on academics and not simply athletics, where young men and women learn together (just like in the real world), and where students learn in an atmosphere of service. Come see our athletic center where our winning teams practice and view the fine arts facilities that produce some of the best art and drama in the area. Come see students and faculty who pray together everyday, knowing that they are always in the holy presence of God. You will see why this Catholic high/junior high school is an incredible choice for your child.
Please call if you have any questions. It is here where "knowledge is not the filling of a pail but the lighting of a fire."
